Leadership approach

How I lead AI

How I connect business priorities, people, and responsible AI execution.
  • Start with a business priority

AI earns a place when it changes a decision or workflow people already care about.

Forward Deployed Engineering model, designed to surface customer problems early.

The adoption model: autonomy is earnedAI moves to the next stage only when it beats the current baseline and a person approves the move.
  1. Stage 1

    Shadow

AI suggests; people decide. Compare its answers to real outcomes.

  2. Stage 2

    Assisted

AI drafts; a person reviews and approves every action.

  3. Stage 3

    Active

AI acts within scoped policy, fully audited, with rollback.

Production AI system · one of the largest data center operators in the US

Agentic & Graph-Based Alarm Correlation

Status: In ProductionIn production for data center operations teams.
Challenge
Related alarms hide the originating issue behind downstream symptoms.
My contribution
Led architecture, delivery, and adoption; contributed hands-on to the agents and correlation services.
Outcome
In production: alarms grouped by infrastructure dependency, with a probable root cause to investigate first.
Read the full case study

Combined agentic analysis with graph-based infrastructure relationships and telemetry context to correlate related alarms, support probable root-cause investigation, and help reduce incident triage time.

Business challenge
A single electrical fault can trigger alarms across many downstream devices. Operators had to work out by hand which alarm was the originating issue and which were symptoms, which slowed investigation and triage.
My role
Led the architecture, delivery, and adoption with reliability teams, and contributed hands-on to the engineering of the agents and correlation services.
Key decisions and trade-offs
  • Split the work across specialised agents: one detects new and cleared alarms, one correlates them, and one writes the investigation summary.
  • Expose telemetry and device topology to agents as tools through an MCP server, so agents query live context rather than working from a static snapshot.
  • Correlate through the infrastructure graph: when a parent device is already in alarm, related child alarms are grouped under it, and electrical rules classify the pattern.
  • Keep the language model to reasoning over pre-correlated alarms, producing a plain-English report of the probable root cause for engineers to confirm, not a confirmed diagnosis.
What was built or changed
  • A multi-agent pipeline combining alarm monitoring, topology-aware correlation with electrical rules, and LLM-written root-cause reports.
  • Telemetry (volts, amps, kW) and parent/child device relationships available to the agents during investigation.
Outcome
In production, giving operations teams related alarms grouped by infrastructure dependency and a probable root cause to investigate first. Measured triage-time results are not published here.

Invoicing data platform · one of the largest data center operators in the US

Power Billing Data Platform

Status: In ProductionIn production for billing review and invoicing data preparation.
Challenge
Device-level power telemetry has to become reliable, reviewable energy figures for billing.
My contribution
Built the platform: aggregation, review and approval workflow, audit trail, and export.
Business value
Traceable invoicing data, with review focused on flagged anomalies.
Read the full case study

Turns metered telemetry into reviewed per-device energy aggregates for invoicing, with ML-assisted anomaly detection informing the review.

Business challenge
Transforming device-level power telemetry into reliable energy aggregates suitable for billing review and downstream invoicing.
My role
Built the platform as its lead engineer: telemetry aggregation, the review and approval workflow, audit trail, and export for invoicing. Integrated anomaly detection developed with the data science team.
Key decisions and trade-offs
  • Energy figures are deterministic: per-device kWh is calculated from metered telemetry, not predicted.
  • ML-assisted anomaly detection is advisory: it highlights unusual consumption patterns so reviewers can check them, and never sets a charge.
  • People stay in control: billing records are reviewed, corrected where needed, and approved before export, with every change audit-logged.
What was built or changed
  • Per-device and per-site energy aggregation from metered telemetry, with anomaly flags for review.
  • Review, correction, and approval of time-series records, plus spreadsheet export for downstream invoicing.
Business value
Supports traceable invoicing data preparation and helps teams focus review on potential data issues. Invoices themselves are issued outside this platform.

Forecasting platform · one of the largest data center operators in the US

Predictive Power Procurement Platform

Status: In ProductionIn production to support power procurement planning.
Challenge
Procurement needs a view of expected demand and price before committing.
My contribution
Led vision and architecture direction; contributed to the engineering.
Business value
Forecast-driven insight for procurement planning and cost trade-offs.
Read the full case study

Supports power procurement planning through forecasting and cost optimization.

Business challenge
Anticipating power requirements and evaluating procurement options against expected demand and cost.
My role
Led the platform vision and architecture direction with business stakeholders, and contributed to its engineering.
Key decisions and trade-offs
  • Forecast real-time power prices with machine-learning regression models, using inputs such as public energy-market forecasts and weather data.
  • Run data updates as scheduled workflows, so forecasts stay current without manual refreshes.
  • Present forecasts in a dashboard that informs decisions; procurement choices remain with people.
What was built or changed
  • A price-forecasting service and API, a feature-update workflow, and a dashboard for reviewing forecasts against history.
Business value
Helps teams plan power procurement and evaluate cost trade-offs using forecast-driven insights. Forecast accuracy and savings figures are not published here.

Data platform · one of the largest data center operators in the US

Insights Data Platform

Status: ImplementedPlatform used by data center operations and data teams.
Challenge
Building on the core telemetry platform directly coupled every new dashboard to it.
My contribution
Built and evolved the platform, including configurable DAGs for transformation and aggregation.
Outcome
Teams build dashboards and data products for a 300,000+ device ecosystem without coupling to the core platform.
Read the full case study

Built and evolved the Insights data platform for one of the largest data center operators in the US, supporting an ecosystem of 300,000+ devices.

Business challenge
Teams needed Industrial IoT (IIoT) telemetry for dashboards and analytics, but building directly on the core telemetry platform created tight coupling and slowed every new data product.
My role
Built and evolved the platform as its lead engineer and architect.
Key decisions and trade-offs
  • Democratized IIoT data through configurable directed acyclic graphs (DAGs) for transformation and aggregation, with a versioned draft-and-publish lifecycle.
  • Brought time-series telemetry, asset records, and device-hierarchy relationships behind one API, with role-based access and full tracing.
What was built or changed
  • Configurable DAG workflows that teams author, version, publish, and share.
  • APIs for metrics, device topology, and device health that power operational dashboards.
Outcome
Teams can rapidly build dashboards, analytics, and downstream data products without tight coupling to the core telemetry platform.

Multi-agent platform · built personally

AI SDLC Platform

Status: Local MVPEnd-to-end validation in progress. Not deployed for users.
Challenge
Enterprise delivery needs traceability, approvals, and audit that most AI agent demos lack.
My contribution
Designed and built the platform, its agents, governance model, and validation approach.
Validation result (not production use)
Took a sample brief to an approved design — 30 requirements, 53 stories, and a 20-component architecture.
Read the full case study

A governed multi-agent platform that takes a business brief through analysis, design, security review, development, and testing — with people approving each step.

Business challenge
AI coding tools speed up individual tasks, but enterprise delivery needs traceability, approvals, and audit across requirements, architecture, security, and testing. That is where most agent demos break down.
My role
Designed and built the platform: the requirements, architecture, agents, governance model, and validation approach.
Key decisions and trade-offs
  • Durable Temporal workflows for agent work, so long runs survive restarts and failed stages retry with guidance — at the cost of more infrastructure than a simple job queue.
  • Typed decisions kept separate from free-form generation, with rules able to override the model.
  • Tool access only through an MCP gateway, with scoped policies and single-use approvals.
  • Models routed by capability, with local models as explicit, visible fallbacks.
What was built or changed
  • Agents for business analysis, requirements, architecture, development, review, QA, and security review.
  • Project knowledge base with cited answers; held-out evaluation and regression-gated promotion with rollback.
Validation result (not production use)
On a sample product brief, produced an approved design: 30 prioritized requirements, 53 stories, a 20-component architecture with 14 decision records, and a STRIDE security review. Lesson: real model runs exposed defects test fixtures hid — such as a silent fallback to a small model that gave confident, wrong answers.

AI product · built personally

Bharat Intel — AI Agents for Indian Stock Market Intelligence

Status: In DevelopmentRuns locally in a validation phase with its strategy frozen. Not in public use; no trading execution.
Challenge
Market research tools rarely show where numbers come from, how fresh they are, or how often signals are right.
My contribution
Designed and built the product: data pipeline, analysis agents, AI research assistant, and validation framework.
Lessons so far
Trustworthy AI needs freshness labels, audit logs, and success criteria fixed before results.
Read the full case study

An explainable research and decision-support tool for NSE and BSE stocks, where deterministic analysis runs first and an AI agent only explains results it can cite.

Business challenge
Market research tools often present opaque scores or confident AI answers without showing where the numbers came from, how fresh the data is, or how often the signals have been right.
My role
Designed and built the product: data pipeline, analysis agents, AI research assistant, validation framework, and user interface.
Key decisions and trade-offs
  • The language model never decides whether a stock will rise. It explains structured results and must fetch every number through tool calls; figures that are not in a tool result are removed.
  • Free, official data first — NSE and BSE reports, SEBI, RBI, World Bank, and publisher RSS — with every record labelled for freshness. Nothing is presented as live.
  • Opportunity, risk, confidence, and data quality shown separately rather than merged into one score.
  • Success criteria fixed before results, and no machine-learning model allowed to influence scores until a validation gate and human review approve it.
What was built or changed
  • Analysis agents for technicals, fundamentals, news, sector, institutional flows, macro and global context, and historical similarity, plus an agent that reads SEBI orders and circulars into structured data.
  • An AI research assistant with cited sources, running on a local model or on Amazon Bedrock AgentCore.
  • Backtesting with Indian trading costs, paper trading, and a Validation Lab tracking accuracy, calibration, and drift.
Lessons so far
Validation is ongoing, so there are no performance results to report. Building it reinforced that trustworthy AI needs data freshness labels, append-only audit logs, and evidence collected under rules fixed in advance.

Organizational adoption · 3Pillar

AI-Assisted Engineering Transformation

Status: ImplementedPractices in use across engineering delivery teams.
Challenge
Teams used AI assistants individually and inconsistently, with no shared practice.
My contribution
Defined the adoption strategy and led the rollout across engineering delivery teams.
Outcome
Established AI-assisted practices from requirements through documentation.
Read the full case study

Moved AI use in delivery teams from individual experimentation to shared, governed practice.

Business challenge
Delivery teams faced rising expectations on speed, documentation overhead, and long onboarding. AI assistants were in use, but individually and inconsistently.
My role
Defined the adoption strategy and led the rollout: the role-based agent model, reusable skills framework, governance standards, enablement, and roadmap.
Key decisions and trade-offs
  • Organized AI support around delivery roles — analysis, architecture, delivery, quality, platform, and documentation — rather than around tools.
  • Shared, reusable skills instead of individual prompts, so practices spread across teams.
  • Governance standards set alongside the rollout, not after it.
What was built or changed
  • Role-specific agents, a reusable skills framework, governance standards, and an enablement approach for engineering teams.
Outcome
Established AI-assisted practices across the delivery lifecycle, from requirements through documentation and knowledge management.

Operating model · 3Pillar

Forward Deployed Engineering Operating Model

Status: ProposalPresented to executive leadership; not yet adopted.
Challenge
Engineering teams were far from customer problems, slowing feedback and opportunity discovery.
My contribution
Developed the operating model and presented it to executive leadership.
Outcome
Received strong positive feedback from executive leadership.
Read the full case study

An operating model to put engineering leaders next to customer problems — where the most valuable AI opportunities are found.

Business challenge
Engineering teams were often far from customer problems, which slowed feedback, kept execution reactive, and delayed spotting problems and growth opportunities.
My role
Developed the vision, operating framework, rollout approach, success metrics, and leadership enablement plan, and presented the proposal to executive leadership.
Key decisions and trade-offs
  • Embed engineering leaders with customer challenges rather than adding another hand-off layer.
  • Define success metrics before rollout, so the model can be judged on outcomes.
What was built or changed
  • A complete operating model proposal: framework, rollout plan, success metrics, and leadership enablement.
Outcome
Received strong positive feedback from executive leadership for its potential to improve customer engagement, innovation velocity, and engineering effectiveness.

Prototypes

Human-in-the-loop API agent

Status: Prototype

Turns natural-language requests into proposed API calls that a person reviews, edits, and runs. The agent never calls an API on its own.

Ontology-driven requirements generator

Status: Prototype

Multi-agent pipeline that turns rough requirements into epics, stories, and acceptance criteria, each checked by a rule engine rather than another model.
